We’re now officially in the 2nd half of the year! exactly how about that. soon we’ll be seeing Christmas designs in the shops no doubt.
In the meantime, we’ve been having the very best week. sees from good friends, feasts in new restaurants as well as then finest of all, we head off on a dream trip. hope your week was a great one too. We want to hear all about it so tell us your highlights in the comments at the bottom of the post.
We’re graced with Carly from Smaggle.com‘s delightful existence this evening. She’s up in Sydney for work so we’ve taken her out for a dumpling feast. We’re in Seabay – a dumpling organization – as well as I’ve got a feeling we’re going to leave feeling rather full!
I’ve been staring at this set of pictures considering that we were at Bondi last week wondering what to make with them. I took a picture burst on my iPhone, which is where you press as well as hold the cam shutter on your phone as well as it takes like a million shots a minute [ed. it’s about 300 per min.] – it’s really one of our much-loved features for taking pictures of lightning with your iPhone.
I made a decision I’d make this gif out of the photos, so I utilized the celebration Party app ($1.29) that produces gifs on your mobile. Brilliant, isn’t it? So happy I did – I’m truly delighted with the result.
Tonight we’re at Char & Co in Sydney’s double Bay. We’re right here to inspect out their new wintertime menu. Char & Co is a Brazilian churrasco (pronounced “shoo-has-co”), which is a standard Brazilian barbeque restaurant. The meat’s always slow-roasted on spits as well as is always delicious.
We’re extremely pleased with whatever that we try here, however I truly do like these bit yellow fin tuna stomach ceviche served in a shortcrust cone. Mustn’t fail to remember to mention the micro herbs of course.
Keep an eye out for our evaluation of Char & Co. Coming soon!
Mrs romance is – when once again – out as well as about the waterside today. The harbour looks especially sparkly today, despite it being a bit chilly. Can’t fault this view from the Opera home looking down on the patrons of Opera Bar.
Today we believed we’d share our experience of Orange, NSW. It’s a great 3-hour drive west to Orange from Sydney, so if you’re only there for a weekend, you requirement to make the most of your time. That’s why we’ve made a whirlwind 48-hour guide to Orange, where you can maximise your white wine time while still getting your square 3 as well as take in what the town itself has to offer.
Check out our 48-hour guide to Orange, NSW here.
We’re ecstatic to have been invited to the inaugural #ketchup event held by Bob from the Jugernauts as well as Chris from the AU Review. We have a feeling the location – the just recently re-opened Darlie Laundromatic (now closed) on Palmer St, Darlinghurst – is going to be seeing a great deal of us. incredibly adorable with a excellent vibe to it, this little bar is absolutely one to inspect out.
The sparkling from Handpicked Wines is tasty – as is all the other catering for this fun night out. It’s excellent to see Bob as well as Chris of course, however likewise to satisfy some new good friends too.
Somehow, despite Bob as well as Chris’ finest efforts, Mrs romance is still up early this morning inspecting out the views at sunrise. This pergola in the Botanic gardens would be my new house – however the lack of roofing may be an issue. lovely though, isn’t it?
Another early begin today – we’re off to Brisbane for the begin of what I have a feeling is going to be an extraordinary journey. We’re only in Brisbane for a day (literally 24 hours) to catch up with my sibling as well as his family, who online there. then it’s one more early begin as we fly west to Broome!
A nod to our trans-Pacific good friends in the States: it’s the 4th July today – self-reliance Day. Here’s to celebrating cutting the ties to those pesky Brits as well as fledgling America starting out on its own all those years back in 1776. hope everybody over there has a great day.
We’re only right here in Brisbane for a day however we’re still making the most of it. Down by the water on the Redcliffe peninsular, the views are so peaceful. excellent to be able to spend a long time with my bro as well as his charming other half as well as kids.
And we’re off again. It’s a long 5-hour flight to Broome in the north-west of Western Australia. Why long, you may ask. 5 hours isn’t much of a flight. besides the Qantas flight team being extremely friendly as well as helpful, as well as Mrs romance being the very best travel buddy as always, nothing was much fun about this flight.
The guy behind me insisted on juggling his tray throughout the flight, the woman in front reclined her seat for the majority, the household of 50(?) across the aisle believed it’d be a great concept to let their youngsters play iPad games with the volume on full [bleep, bloop, ching-clang-bang – as well as that was just my mind], as well as I stupidly selected the poultry curry for lunch when we hadn’t even had breakfast.
Sorry. Rant over.
Still, the view from the airplane as we’re coming in to land over Broome is – well – you can see for yourself. We even area 2 pods of whales from the plane! one more life goal ticked.
The view from down on the ground right here in Broome is even a lot more spectacular than the one from the sky! exactly how about this sunset – it’s what cord beach is popular for as well as I can see why.
Cable beach is an extraordinary place. The sand stretches around the bay for about 4km, however at low tide, the water goes out to about 500m, the incline is so shallow. people swimming have to go out so far before the water’s even over their knees. It’s amazing.
Watch this area for a lot more of our Instagram pictures of Broome. Over the next 2 weeks we’ll be heading out into the Indian ocean sailing up the Darwin on an expedition with national Geographic. Can’t wait. We’ll likewise have our handle Broome for you too.
In the meantime, how’s your week been? have you ever seen anything incredible from your window of a plane? tell us in the comments!
